About Susan RUszin
Susan Ruszin holds national certifications in her specialty areas of care. She continues to care for patients in a clinical setting and believes that the best teachers are those who stay current with bedside practices. She founded Ruszin Healthcare Education Group in Tampa, Florida, to provide advanced nurse training and healthcare certification in a variety of specializations.
Education & Nursing Experience
Susan graduated from the University of Akron in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN). She has been a registered nurse for more than 45 years and has experience taking care of patients of all ages. She also holds a Master's Degree in Leadership and Management. A bedside nurse throughout her career, she has worked in the ICU (intensive care unit), CCU (critical care unit), and CSU (cardiac surgery unit). She has also practiced in both adult and pediatric emergency department settings.
A Qualified Instructor
Susan has been a BLS (Basic Life Support) instructor since 1985, and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) instructor since 1986, and a PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) instructor since 1989. She has attained and maintained both Senior Faculty and Regional Faculty status with the American Heart Association (AHA). She also holds Senior Instructor status with Emergency Nurse Association (ENA). Susan has added Red Cross Certification courses to her presentation on certification availability.
